The truncated track immediately in front of the camera is the abandoned Marlborough Railway coming from Marlborough High Level, while the shallow embankment to the left carries the new link to the Marlborough Railway continuing on down to Savernake Low Level from the old Marlborough & Grafton Railway up line going to Marlborough Low Level.
