5526 at Savernake with the return leg of the Marlborough goods, sometime in 1962 - after passenger closure. Adrian Vaughan photographed the train at Marlborough and asked the driver to 'take it easy' to Savernake so he could drive over and photograph it there on arrival. By the time Adrian took this photo, the loco had attached various engineering department wagons to the front of the formation.

5526 was withdrawn from service in June 1962 and after nearly 23 years at Barry, it was purchased for preservation. It now resides at the South Devon Railway.
